On Monday June 17th the Hunters for the Hungry was honored and blessed to be a part of the 1st Annual Summer Bash Golf Tournament to Benefit Hunters for the Hungry!

The event was held at beautiful Red Wing Golf Course in Virginia Beach and had a full field of 32 teams come out for a day of food, friendly competition, and wonderful fellowship all in support of Hunters for the Hungry!

Although the Virginia Beach community suffered a tragic incident just a few weeks prior the community showed their love and their strength to keep on working to make a difference in their community!

Hunters for the Hungry extends their deepest and most sincere appreciation to Charles Thain of Blue Seafood and Spirits, Buddy Evans and Betty Gillette, and all the volunteers, sponsors, and supporters who had the vision and the heart to care for those who struggle with hunger! Their hard work, efforts, and sacrifice will help the program touch the lives of so many in the VA Beach and Tidewater area and throughout the Commonwealth.
