citizens and wildlife of Bedford by
providing support in a variety of efforts. Serving the citizens the chapter
conducts outreach programs of the NWTF such as the JAKES program for kids, the
Turkey Hunters Care Program providing for those in need, and the Wheelin
Sportsmen program giving opportunities for those with disabilities.
In addition they also support local outreach programs and feeding efforts
through their contributions to high school scholarships, collecting coats for
Bedford Christian Ministries and the Hunters for the Hungry, promoting the
hunting heritage in a positive way and giving back to their most important
resource, their fellow man.

The Virginia State Chapter is a representative body of the National Wild Turkey Federation made up of dedicated and devoted grass roots volunteers of the state of Virginia. Their mission is to carry out the various conservation and outreach programs of the NWTF to benefit all Virginians and to further the mission of the NWTF in the conservation of the wild turkey and the preservation of the hunting tradition.
